Garnish Hall Rules

  • All persons using the fishery do so entirely at their own risk.
  • Becmain Angling Society accept no liability for any accident or injury to any persons or property whatsoever.
  • Members must be able to produce a current membership card for Becmain Angling Society and a current E.A. fishing licence if asked by another member or an authority.
  • Members using Garnish Hall are to approach and leave quietly by the correct entrance at a slow speed. All gates to be shut and cars to be parked in the allocated space.
  • Any person leaving litter, lighting fires, causing damage and/or making any noise such as shouting will be banned from the fishery.
  • Lead shot and lead weights under 1oz are banned.
  • Manufactured barbless hooks to be used only.
  • Fishing is from dawn to dusk. No later than 9.30pm.
  • One rod per angler only.
  • No night fishing.
  • No fires.
  • No radios.
  • No climbing fences.
  • No boating.
  • No bait to be dug on or near the property.
  • No bivvies.
  • No bloodworm, jokers, nuts, maples, chick peas or hempseed to be used.
  • No bait boats.
  • No keepnets except in bonafied maches.
  • No braided mainline.
  • Unhooking mats to be used.
  • No carp sacks.
  • No swimming.
  • No dogs.
  • No fishing from the island.
  • Landing nets to be dipped.
  • All anglers legering must use safety rigs.
  • Male members are not use the ladies toilet under any circumstances.
  • Members must not trespass on to adjoining fields or properties.
